It’s no secret I love all things magic! I’m a big believer in fairies and pixie dust and flights to never never land! I have a big imagination and just like Walt Disney said ” Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever”.

Our children are the BEST kinds of dreamers! They dream when they are sleeping of course, but they dream while they are wide awake. Their whole day consists of magic and wonder and it’s my belief that children ARE in fact magic!

Have you ever just sat down for a moment and quietly watched your kiddo play? It’s pretty awesome! They are completely engaged in their own world and it is awesomely unique to them! Their imagination is wide open. It knows no boundary or edge. It knows no fear or worry. It captures them wholly and that is where their own unique magic lives! It’s the kind of magic that as a parent you just want to savor for as long as you can!

It’s the kind of magic, the kind of world you want to just freeze because all too soon you know that whimsy and wonder will quickly be replaced by the concrete things of this world.

But, I have some good news… You can hold on to this moment! You can capture it and tell this story of who they are and the world they love so much right now in this very second. You can enter their world of magic and bring it to life with an in my dreams session!

MAGICAL SESSIONS

Whether your kiddo takes flight nightly with Peter Pan and the lost boys to find skull rock and Tinkerbell or swims the surf only to wash up next to a mermaid looking for her dinglehopper, I have the session just for you!

Maybe you have an older tween who needs a quiet refuge so she seeks out an enchanted forrest library with all of her favorite books! Maybe they are embarking on those years where they are growing up all too fast and you just want to capture the magic before it’s gone!

Trust me mama, I’ve got you! I understand and together we can plan the perfect session that’s one of a kind and unique to just your child…. right here and right now!

Whatever age or stage your child is in, we can dream up a session just for them! All we need to know is what they love and what excites them. What dream takes them away to that special place where you could sit back and watch them dream and watch their own special magic come to life.

I bet you even have an idea forming in your mind right now! You are the one that knows your child’s heart! The dreams that dream while they are awake and asleep. You know their favorite stories, their favorite characters, their wildest and craziest asks and dreams that live inside their adventurous minds!

Let’s get together and make it come to life!

I’ve been able to sit down with the Mad Hatter, Alice and the Queen of Heart for tea time! I’ve been able to guide Snow White to her not so poisoned apple and hear her read the birds and animals a beautiful book before her slumber! I’ve even been roller skating all over town with a glittery, soda pop drinking ballerina. And I’ve surfed with a handsome surfer a time or two!

See we all know our little ones! As parents we know what lights them on fire. We know what sparks their interest and fills their heart and whisks them away to that place of happy and wonder and joy! Are you ready to let me into that world so we can bring it to life right before their very eyes?!

I am!

I’m ready to design and capture that special world and special magic that only your child has! I’m ready to freeze this moment for you so you can have and hold it even when they get bigger! It would be one of my greatest blessings!

So go ahead and come on over and contact me: the pixie dust awaits you!

Ya’ll…. it hit me like a ton of bricks today! I don’t know why and I honestly can’t say where it came from but SMACK DAB in the middle of nowhere it hit me: my baby isn’t a baby anymore!

Then, it hit me again! I went into my room to grab a tissue box and lying on the floor next to my bed was a colored in charazard picture that my son had “cleaned” up from this morning.

At first it annoyed me, let me just be real honest! I know we’ve all done this 100 times! We’ve picked up the markers and the crayons that scatter our floors. We’ve stepped on the legos that act like tiny torture devices on our feet! We’ve asked, no we’ve begged, our kiddos to clean this room or pick up and it falls on deaf ears! Some days, heck most days, it feels like we are on repeat! Momma does all the things and is down in the thick of it!

But today, as I stared at that lonely little orange charazard picture carelessly thrown on my bedroom floor, it struck me: how many more of these little love notes am I going to get?! Time just seems so fickle right? One minute we are living in the day to day; and then out of nowhere we see something and it reminds us just how fast time really does move.

Luckily I still have some time! Linc is 9 and although some days saying 9 feels so big to me! I mean gosh third grade feels big! I do realize that in the grand scheme of things, I still have time for little colored in pictures left on my bed. Thank Goodness! I’ll never look at pokemon the same!

But we are growing and time does move! One moment he wouldn’t leave me without a big hug or high five/secret handshake before school. And now, well, the look I get if I try so much as a kiss on the forehead! Whew ya’ll! If looks could kill.

Here’s the silver lining though my dear sweet mama friends: growth is good! I love growth because with it comes new and exciting “firsts”. Growth means new adventures and new magic!

I also know that thankfully I have a ton of images that I can fondly look back on! I have albums I have printed year after year to savor.

My biggest wish is that you do too!

This is why I make it my business to ensure that you are getting yourself in those photos. And not just IN the photos, but mama I want to see you DO something with those images!

Put those precious memories in an album! This way anyone can revisit those times over and over again anytime they like or anytime they need.

Print your images so you can fill your home with the people who actually make your house a home! Print a bunch of images and rotate them out!

This is what we do in our home! We keep each printed image INSIDE the frame and just put the next image over top. This way the frame starts to act like it’s own album! It’s always a fun surprise when we change out the frames that have several layers of images!

I think Barbara Bush says it the best my friends:

At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, a parent.”
